What is baw?

Brain Awareness Week (BAW) is an annual global campaign to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research. It unites the efforts of partner organizations from around the world in a week-long celebration of the brain every year in mid-March. It was founded by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives in 1995 and is coordinated by the Dana Foundation. The types of events that are held each year include public lectures, panel discussions, neuroscience lab tours, art exhibitions, brain fairs, and lessons for school students.

All proceeds that we raise through our BAW events are donated to various non-profit organizations. In the past, we have supported the following organizations:

To support this initiative, check out our Neuroscience as Art silent auction, or some of the other activities we’ll be hosting during the week of March 13th-17th. If you’d like to donate directly, please contact us!
